History

The company was originally established in 1981 as a video renting shop under the name of HKV. In tandem with the advance technology, the company had diversified themselves into retailing original titles of Audio CD and VCD in the year of 1998.

The company started with only a handful of staff and in just 10 years Hong Kong Video has expanded its market share with numerous number of outlets throughout Penang, Selangor and Melaka state. Today, Hong Kong Video is one of the leading home entertainment chain stores in Malaysia.
